The Belgravia Centre Opens A New Clinic in The City of London

The Belgravia Centre is very excited to announce that our new clinic, just a minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station, is officially open!
Our purpose built hair loss clinic at 8 New Street is ideal for anyone who works in the City of London. And if youre travelling to us via Liverpool Street, simply leave the station via the Bishopsgate exit, cross the road, and continue down New Street for roughly 30 seconds: were on the left hand side. For maps of both our clinics, click here.
As in our Victoria clinic, we are pleased to offer free initial consultations for men and women who are experiencing the signs of hair loss; a hair loss expert will diagnose your condition and put together a personalised hair loss treatment plan to give you the best chance possible of medically halting hair loss and regrowing thinning areas.

If youre already a client and find our new clinic more convenient to attend for check-ups, treatments, or to pick up your medication, youre very welcome to swap to our new clinic.

Give us a call on 0207 444 4000 or send us an email or a message via our website to make an appointment. We hope to welcome you soon!

Thinning Hair The Belgravia Centre Can Help

Male hair loss can manifest itself in a number of ways, and its true that the two most common types are a receding hair line and a thinning around the crown. These two types of hair loss are caused by a genetic condition called male pattern baldness, or to give it its scientific name, Androgenic Alopecia.

However, if youre a man experiencing an all over hair thinning of scalp hair, that unlike male pattern hair loss is not confined to areas on the top of your scalp, you might have another hair loss condition altogether. Happily, whilst male pattern hair loss must be treated in order to prevent further hair loss and to regrow hair, an overall thinning should grow back by itself.

So, what could be causing your thinning hair? If the hair loss is sudden, it may be that youre experiencing Telogen Effluvium. This condition occurs when a sudden shock or stress causes hair to prematurely enter its telogen, or resting phase of its cycle, shedding around three months later. The stress may well have stopped well before the hair loss occurs, and hopefully hair will grow back naturally.

If, after months, hair hasnt returned to its former condition, a bespoke treatment programme based around our high strength minoxidil 10% and 12.5% solution has been shown to have a great success rate, check out our hair loss success stories for visual proof! Minoxidil is a clinically proven hair loss treatment, and is thought to work by activating potassium channels in the scalp.
Depending on the time of year, it could also be that youre experiencing seasonal hair loss. This generally occurs during November and December, and whilst the exact cause is uncertain, it may be due to excess sweating on the scalp in the warmer summer months. There is also the theory that like other mammals, we shed our hair to make way for a thicker winter coat of hair on our scalp. Again, this type of hair loss should fix itself, though if new hair does not grow in place of the shedding, a hair loss treatment plan may be advisable.

If youre experiencing an overall thinning without any other apparent symptoms, it may well be worth visiting one of The Belgravia Centres clinics in Central London for a free diagnosis and treatment advice. Theres no obligation to sign up to anything when you see us, so give us a call on 0800 077 6666 or message us here to arrange an appointment. Not local? An online diagnostic form gives us all the information we need to diagnose you remotely.
